Wow! What an amazing experience we had today. The Rock Hill community really made this a wonderful learning experience for every student! Our trip had stops at several locations that related to some of our major units and themes this school year!
Here is the plan:
Home Depot- We made two stops in Home Depot. The first was in the materials section to learn about properties of matter, and the second was the garden center to learn about what plants need to survive.
PetSmart- We visited PetSmart so we could learn all about different types of animals and what they need to survive.
ArrowPointe- The credit union taught us about money and goods and services.
All of the stops related to our Social Studies units on goods and services in the community, and our map unit!
Field Trip Wrap Up:
To review our trip, ask your child the following questions:
1) How much money was in the coin bag at the credit union?
2) What are two animals you saw at PetSmart?
3) Which is heavier: aluminum or steel?
4) What type of plant did Home Depot give us for our class?
