We spent the morning making butter for our feast! We have been learning about how things were different in the past than they are today. We read a book called Pancakes for Breakfast where a lady had to churn her own butter in the past. We used heavy cream to make butter. The students loved seeing how it changed as they shook it up. We talked about how things were harder and took longer in the past!
You can see below how amazing our lunch set up was! We had so many wonderful traditional dishes come in from you all, and it was so much fun to watch the students try and taste all the different foods! We also had each student tell what he/she was thankful for before we started eating. It was a wonderful event, and it felt very special. It was also Jeremiah H.'s last day in our class! We will miss him!
Mrs. Dawson and I want to say thank you to all of you for your help to make this event a success! We appreciate all of the food, supplies, and drinks that were sent in. We also want to say thank you to the parents and grandparents who came to help set up, serve, and clean up! We could not do things like this without you!
