We started our math workshop time this week! We will begin our unit with counting outloud to 20 and also with exploring our manipulatives. This week we will be exploring square tiles, attritibute blocks, pattern blocks, buttons, and linking chains. This will get us ready for our upcoming units on patterns and shapes! At home link: Ask your child what he/she worked with during math workshop each afternoon/evening when you are talking about school! What did he/she notice about the items? Check out the picture below to see us in action!

We have had a great first week! The past two days we explored 7 different centers! We also went to music, art, P.E. , and Guidance. Check out the pictures of the centers below. We also took a few class pictures! A serious one...and of course a silly one! We have had an absolutely wonderful first few days of school! We loved being all together today! We have spent time learning each other's names, our class and school rules, touring the school, exploring centers, and reading books! Check out the friends in our class this year in the slideshow below! There are also a few pictures of our first days! |
